Hips Overall

Healthy, happy hips move in all planes of motion

In this 50 minute yoga class, we’ll focus on all the parts and movements of the hips to keep them healthy, happy, mobile, and strong.

We have our hip flexors, adductors, abductors, hamstrings, and external rotators, all of which work uniquely and together to help us move functionally throughout our day - to run, walk, rotate, step side to side, stand up, sit down, etc. etc. etc. In this practice, we’ll practice flexion, extension, adduction, abduction, and external rotation and learn about what each of these movements are and what they do.

I love how the hips work and I love this class and I hope you do too! I taught a version of this class in person recently and a student commented that they love that my teaching feels athletic with a rehab component. Personally, as someone who grew up playing sports (primarily soccer) and loves to understand the anatomy of the body and how it works the way it does, that’s what I’m going for so I loved that feedback.

Give this class a try and let me know what you think in the comments!

Thank you for practicing with me! I’m so grateful you’re here. You can follow along on Instagram. If you enjoy weekly yoga classes, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
