This 27-minute practice is perfect if you’ve been wanting to get started with yoga, but aren’t quite sure where to begin. That is exactly who I had in mind when I created this sequence. Nothing is too complex, the poses are not advanced, and (hopefully!) you won’t leave class feeling like you’re scratching your head about what that was all about.
The most frustrating thing for a yoga beginner can be walking into a class, feeling overwhelmed and unsure, and then the teacher cues going into a handstand or headstand, and you’re thinking, “Wait, what?! I thought this was for beginners!” It can be such a deterrent for some and that is so not what we want.
My goal here was to make this practice feel approachable. Hopefully you’ll leave feeling more open, stronger, and like you’ve just received a warm hug.
