Hi there! Welcome to Align!
I’m Kait, a registered yoga teacher, PCES-certified prenatal + postpartum specialist, movement enthusiast, marketing professional, and mama to one. I’m currently studying to become a certified personal trainer and pregnant with my second after experiencing infertility and going through IVF.
I’ve found that my love for different types of movement ebbs and flows over the years and through the seasons of life. There is so much shoulding in the fitness and wellness world, but to me, what it comes down to is doing more of what you love and what makes you feel good. If we could all have that mindset around movement, we’d likely move a whole lot more and ultimately be better off mentally, physically, and emotionally.
My goal with Align has always been two-fold:
Finding alignment through body, breath, and mind via movement and breathwork with weekly yoga classes
Following our gut towards things that light us up, make us feel good, and align with our values (for me: reading books, listening to podcasts, spending time with my favorite people, moving my body)
In the words of Alex Elle, “When something is for you, it will bring clarity and alignment to your life, not chaos and confusion.”
What you can expect:
classes: Typically, I send a weekly movement class every Monday. While pregnant, that’s been on a bit of a pause, but there is a whole class library for you to choose from!
press reset: Weekly musings similar to a dharma talk in a yoga class along with highlights of the week - books I’ve read recently, podcasts I’d recommend, new products I’m loving!
in practice: A new interview series coming soon on Fridays! Featuring movement enthusiasts, tastemakers, and creatives as they share their current practices: how they move their body, care for their mind, find inspiration, and return to themselves.
Right now, everything is free! I’m working hard to make it what it is.
